Anam og: There will be a special presentation at the 12.00pm Mass on Sunday 30th April in St Columba’s Church, Long Tower for all of our young people aged 10-14 inviting them to join Anam Og. A programme of faith, fun and accompaniment. Further information to follow.

Cemetery Sunday: The Annual Service of Intercession for the Dead will take place in the City Cemetery on Sunday, 25th June 2023 at 3.00 pm.
Sincere thanks from Sister Ann, Gerry Deeney, and Margaret Hamilton and to all who contributed in any way to the Easter Raffle/Fundraiser in aid of vulnerable children and their families in Kenya, India, Nigeria, Zambia, and Haiti. Thanks also to the many people who contribute generously throughout the year to the Hunger Box in the Church. This Easter we raised £12,980 and €320. May God reward and bless you all.

St. Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry: 150th Anniversary Celebrations: Diocesan Mass will be celebrated in St Eugene’s Cathedral, Derry, on Sunday 30 April at 3.00pm. All are very welcome. On Wednesday 3rd May there will be a blessing of a new statue of Blessed Carlo Acutis. The blessing will take place during the 10.00am Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral. All are welcome to attend. On Thursday 4 May at 7.30pm Bishop Mc Keown will celebrate Mass to mark the day the Cathedral was opened in 1873. Everyone is welcome.
The Little Way Novena in honour of St Thérèse of Lisieux will be take place at St Eugene’s Cathedral from Saturday 6th May until Sunday 14th May 2023. The Novena begins with a Mass with the Anointing of the sick at 7.30pm on Saturday 6 May. This will be an opportunity to pray for a special intention and to ask St Thérèse to intercede for us. It is a time when many people find great joy and healing. All are very welcome.
The Derry Diocesan Catechetical Centre, working in Partnership with Saint Mary’s University, Twickenham, offers the Masters in Catholic School Leadership. This is a post graduate degree dedicated to the professional development and spiritual formation of Catholic school leaders. It is a great opportunity for those currently in leadership roles and those who aspire to, or have an interest in, leadership roles within the Catholic School system. Holy Land Pilgrimage – QUB Alumni and Friends: The Catholic Chaplaincy at Queen’s University Belfast will lead a Pilgrimage to the Holy Land for alumni and friends.* Departing 9 February 2024 for 8 nights with half-board accommodation in 4 star hotels in Jerusalem and Nazareth, this promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime trip. The Pilgrimage’s Spiritual Director will be Queen’s Chaplain, Fr Dominic McGrattan, with music and song provided by the Chaplaincy’s Director of Sacred Music, celebrated soprano, Marcella Walsh.
