Padre Pio Mass for Healing in Mind & Body continues this Monday 29th June at 7.30pm Through the gift of this Mass we will unite in prayer with all who are ill, unwell, feeling isolated and struggling with the pressures of life. We pray to be surrounded by the light and warmth of God’s love to heal us at this time. We hope at the end of each Mass to give a Blessing using a 1st class relic of Padre Pio. The Mass will be streamed via our parish website: www.longtowerchurch.org.Everyone is welcome to attend.
Síopa Cholmcille- St Columba’s Gift Shop in Aras Cholmcille & Parish Office, Victoria Place: We stock a variety of gifts & cards, candles, rosary beads, books, occasion cards and many other gifts & mementos. The shop is open throughout the week after 10am morning Mass. Please note there is also a great selection of religious items, candles, rosary beads, books and gifts now available from the Parish Office at 6 Victoria Place. Thank you for your continued support.
Fr. Gerard will visit the sick in his care in the following areas over the next two weeks beginning Monday 29th June 2026. Mountjoy Street, Long Tower Court, Abercorn Road, Bishop Street, Corporation Street, Belview Avenue, Ivy Terrace, Foyle Road, Foyle Park, Ardfoyle, The Metropole, Bridge Street & Alexander House. Meenan Drive, Dove Gardens, Lecky Road, Deanery Street, Bluebell Hill Gardens, Kerrigan’s Close, Quarry Street, Iona Court, Lone Moor Road, Nualamount, Old City Court, Old City Close & Mullenan Road. Please note monthly sick visits are essentially for those who are confined to their homes.
Parish Cell- The weekly parish cell meetings continue on Mondays after 7.30pm mass and on Tuesday’s after 10am mass, in Aras Colmcille (Wee Nuns) on the 1st Floor. The sessions last approx. 1½ hrs. Everyone Welcome to attend.
Children’s Liturgy will finish this Sunday 28th June and restart again on Sunday 6th September at 12Noon Mass. We thank Sophie, Eva & Eimear for delivering the Children’s Liturgy programme and also a big thank you to all the children who participated so well every week. We wish you all an enjoyable summer break and look forward to seeing you back with us again in September.

Diocesan Vocations Intercession: In this weekend’s gospel Jesus encourages the men He is calling to priesthood not to be afraid to “…take up their cross and follow [Him]…” and promises them that they will find fulfilment and “life” in Him.

Diocese of Derry Lough Derg Pilgrimage 2026: The Three-Day Pilgrimage will take place from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July. Lough Derg welcomes people seeking prayer, peace, reflection and renewal. For those availing of the bus transport (from St Eugene’s Cathedral via Strabane and Lifford) the cost is £95 / €110, including bus transport.
