Living Water
“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but those who drink the water that I will give them will never be thirsty”. The story of Jesus and the Woman of Samaria holds many instructions on how to live more fully in the spirit of God. And each time it is read, it takes you further into the world of God that Jesus is trying to get us to understand. The only place where we can be complete and have peace of mind. However, like the woman, we too endlessly search, not in the mountains of past times, but in the ‘thirsty world’ of modern society, for people and things to satisfy our dreams of happiness. Today, let us move inward and feel the joy of the harvest God sowed in our hearts long ago. It is not a ‘virtual’ world, but the world of our spirit, for “God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth”. Most importantly, it is the only world where we will “never be thirsty again”. John 4:1-42.
