Catholic Schools Week 2023 begins on 29th January and continues until 4th February in the Diocese of Derry. The theme for this year is ‘Catholic Schools: Walking Together in Faith and Love’. During Catholic Schools Week families, parishes and schools are invited to participate in a week of celebration of Catholic schools, reflecting on their contribution to the common good of society. To launch Catholic Schools Week in our diocese, the Eucharist will be celebrated by Bishop McKeown in St Eugene’s Cathedral on Thursday 26th January at 10.00am.

Christian Unity Ecumenical Service 23rd January at 12.30pm in St. Eugene’s Cathedral. As part of Saint Eugene’s Cathedral 150th Anniversary Celebrations, Bishop Donal McKeown will host a Christian Unity Service for schools in the City on Monday 23rd January at 12.30pm. Bishop Andrew Forster, Church of Ireland Bishop of Derry and Raphoe, will join with Bishop McKeown for this celebration. Everyone is welcome to attend.
Lumen Christi College Open Evening – Tuesday 31st January 2023. Prospective pupils and their parents/carers are invited to visit Lumen Christi College for the annual Open Evening on Tuesday 31st January 2023 between 4.00pm and 6.30pm. Principal’s Address: 4.00pm & 6.00pm in College Assembly Hall. Guided tours of departments will be provided by pupils. Sincere thanks form Sister Ann, Gerry Deeney and Margaret Hamilton to all who contributed in any way to the Christmas Raffle/ Fundraiser in aid of the vulnerable children and their families in Kenya, India, Chile, Nigeria, Zambia and Haiti. Thanks also to the Hunger Box, in our Church.We had a very successful event and none of which could be done without your continued support. This Christmas we raised £21, 655 plus 448 Euros.
