Ordination of Fr Michael McCaul. We look forward to the ordination of Deacon Michael McCaul to the Priesthood in Saint Eugene’s Cathedral on Sunday 29th January at 3.00pm. He will be celebrating his first Mass at the Cathedral on Monday 30th January at 7.30pm with refreshments afterwards in the Cathedral Hall. We are delighted to welcome him to celebrate Mass in St Columba’s Long Tower on Thursday 2nd February at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome. We ask you Lord Jesus, to fill Michael with the fire of your love, that his ministry may reveal your presence in the Church. Amen.

Appeal in support of Lepra for World Leprosy Day on Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January 2023. Our mission is to beat leprosy – Over 7 million people are currently affected by leprosy across the world. Evidence shows over 3 million people are living with undiagnosed leprosy. Over 4 million people are living with a life-changing disability caused by leprosy. Although curable, many people are unable to access treatment, even though the cure is free. Lepra works to find, treat and rehabilitate these hidden people and promote their rights in India and Bangladesh. We are working towards a day when leprosy no longer destroys lives; Please help us beat leprosy – even the smallest contribution can help treat and rehabilitate people trapped by this disease. St Eugene’s Cathedral Hall- Tea Dance: We will be holding monthly Tea Dances on Friday 24th February, Friday 24th March, Friday 28th April and Friday 26th May from 2-4pm. There will be live music, great craic and dancing for everyone followed by a light tea and refreshments. Places are limited and booking is required. Flower Arranging: Come to create and learn the principles of flower arranging and take home a floral bouquet. Classes will take place on Wednesday 22nd March, Wednesday 29th March and Wednesday 5th April. The classes will take place at 11.00am and 7.00pm. Places are limited and booking is required. Cathedral Voices: Is a singing group for people living with dementia and older members of the community. The singing club takes place every Thursday from 1.30pm-3.00pm. There is a great social aspect to the club; It is a time to come to listen to music, have a cup of tea and a chat. There is also lots of laughter too. Lumen Christi College Open Evening – Tuesday 31st January 2023. Prospective pupils and their parents/carers are invited to visit Lumen Christi College for the annual Open Evening on Tuesday 31st January 2023 between 4.00pm and 6.30pm. Anam Cara Donegal, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding it’s monthly Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Thursday 9th February at 7:15pm in the Raddison Blu Hotel, Letterkenny Co.Donegal. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not. We also offer an online service.
