Morning Prayer

I entrust this day and all that it may bring to you Lord.

Help me to see you in everyone I meet and work with this day.

I can only live this day once. Don’t allow me waste it,

Because each day is a Gift from YOU.

O’Jesus through the most pure heart of Mary, I offer

you all my thoughts, words and actions, joys and

sufferings of this day for all the intentions of your divine heart.

In times of Despair

Save me, God

For the waters have reached my neck.

I have sunk into the mire of the deep.

Where there is no foothold.

I have gone down to the watery depths;

The flood overwhelms me.

I am weary with crying out;

My throat is parched.

My eyes have failed

Looking for my God.

More numerous than the hairs of my head

Are those who hate me without cause

Too many for my strength

Are my treacherous enemies…

But I pray to you , LORD

For the time of your favour.

God. In your great kindness answer me

With your constant help.

Answer me, LORD in your generous love;

In your great mercy turn to me.

When In Debt

Lord, I am in trouble, I owe money everywhere

and I just can’t cope. Give me the courage to

place my affairs in the hands of someone who

can help or advise. I know my pride has been

wounded, but help me to find a solution before things get worse.

Serenity Prayer

God, grant me the serenity

to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

and the wisdom to know the difference.

Prayer For Guidance

Father, all powerful, give us the strength in our weakness,

heal the bitter wounds of our society, be our guide and leader

in every difficult situation.

Lord Jesus, our Way, our Truths and our Life,

direct our way forward in your steps, keep our hearts

fixed on what is true and noble,

nourish us with your life in the face of fear and death.

Holy Spirit, comforter of the weak and distresses,

fill our homes with your presence, restore to our hearts your peace

andconsolation, remove anxiety and distress from our minds.

Mary, Queen of earth and Mother of God,

enwrap with your mantle of love the lonely and unloved,

teach us the meaning of suffering and pain,

help us to stay close to your Son,

that the darkness of this age may not overwhelm us,

but that everywhere and at all times,

all that we do and suffer may be a share  in your Son’s suffering and death.

Restore to our broken community, health in mind and body,

that the peace of Christ may be felt in our hearts, our homes,

our parish and our world, now and forever.  Amen

Prayer After Communion

Lord, enlighten my understanding,

Strengthen my will, purify my heart, and make me holy.

Help me to repent of my past sins and resist temptation in the future.

Help me to rise above my human weaknesses and to grow stronger as a Christian.

Let me love you my Lord and my God

and see myself as I really am: a pilgrim in this world,

a Christian called to respect

and love all whose lives I touch, those in authority over me and those under my authority,

my friends and my enemies.

Let my conscience be clear, my conduct without fault,

my speech blameless, my life well ordered.

Teach me to realise that this world is passing,

that my true future is the happiness of heaven, that life on earth is short,

and the life to come eternal.

Help me to prepare for death with a proper fear of judgment,

but a greater trust in your goodness.

Lead me safely through death to the endless joy of heaven.

Grant this through Christ our Lord.  Amen

Prayer Before Exam Results
Lord, thank you that you are with me right now.
Your love surpasses all fear.
I give you the anxiety I feel.
I surrender all my worries to you.
Clear my mind
Calm my heart
Still my spirit
Relax my being
When the results come, may I be satisfied that I did my best.
May whatever path I choose in life bring me happiness and give me opportunities to better the world. Amen
