Padre Pio Intercede for Us
Weekly Mass for Healing in Mind & Body continues this Monday 13th July at 7.30pm.
We shall share in a spiritual network of prayer, love and support in these difficult times. While we may still be apart in person, we remain heartfully present with everyone and wish to further connect with all who are ill, unwell, feeling isolated and struggling with the pressures of life.
Through the gift of this Mass we will unite in prayer for all. We pray to be surrounded by the light and warmth of God’s love to heal our brokenness at this time of isolation, suffering and loss. We hope at the end of each Mass to give a Spiritual Blessing using a 1st class relic of Padre Pio.
We ask everyone’s assistance to help others connect with this Mass through our webcam – especially the elderly, frail and vulnerable. Please share as best you can knowledge of this Mass with your family & friends. You can access the Mass via our parish website: www.longtowerchurch.org then click on the link for the webcam or alternatively by logging on to www.churchmedia.tv
Food for Thought
As the earth is moistened with the element of water – producing food to sustain life – so too our hearts are nourished, with an endless stream of manna that works deep within us, growing and expanding our capacity to feel and give love. The element of divine love is not on the scientific periodic table, like water – it is a most beautiful mystery that invites us to place our trust and hope in its capacity to transform and heal us. Though given freely and abundantly, in order for it to reveal itself fully in our lives it requires our participation and collaboration – to work together in finding our common purpose, and let go of fear. As we attempt to clear our past and rebirth our present may we help each other move through the labour pains of change in our deliverance. Together, let us contemplate this – am I lifeless and stuck between shallow rocks, entangled and dry within piercing thorns or deeply embedded in the rich soil of my heart. Let us not become coarse, dull and shut out love – listen, hear and understand – for its seeds have been sown in your heart from the Beginning.

Immaculate Virgin, assist me in my necessity. Oh, Star of the Sea, help me and show me you are my Mother.
Oh, Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart to succour me in my necessity, (mention your request). There are none that can withstand your power. Oh, Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee, (3 times).
