Derry Diocese Information
The Diocese of Derry consists of 51 parishes and includes almost all of County Derry, parts of County Tyrone and Donegal and a very small area across the River Bann in County Antrim. Parishes of the City of Derry include Templemore, St Eugene’s Cathedral and St Columba’s Church, Long Tower, Ardmore, Culmore, Holy Family, Our Lady of Lourdes, St Mary’s, Strathfoyle, Three Patrons and the Waterside.
The Bishop of the Diocese of Derry is the Most Reverend Donal McKeown DD, ordained on the 3rd July 1977. Rev McKeown was ordained as Auxillary Bishop of Down and Connor on the 29th April 2001, and appointed Bishop of Derry on the 25th Feburary 2014.
