“Give this person your place.”
Sometimes we need reminders of what is important in life; of how little significance material things, the place we live or position in society are – in comparison to the beauty of our noble spirit. Today, our brother Jesus draws us into his web of loving guidance; prompting us to come away from our high sense of self and superiority – to come down to meet others where they are at in their misfortune, ill health or poverty. It feels He is asking us to give up our place at life’s table for our brothers and sisters who are in most need of our help. Let’s not disgrace ourselves with our selfishness, go seek the need in others and invite them to move from hopelessness to healing. For then, your humble spirit will shine, and you will be blessed from the heart of our divine Father. Reference and further reading: Luke 14:1.7-14
