Annual Solemn Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help
Continues this Sunday 13th November at 6.00pm. The theme of our Novena this year is ‘What do I believe’? Exploring our Faith. Each night will comprise of the Rosary, Novena prayer and petitions with a short talk given by guest speakers and a ceremony of healing with Benediction. Our guest speaker this week is Mrs Oonagh McAlister. Oonagh was born and bred in Long Town Parish, she is married to Con and is mother to 5 sons. She is manager of Magee student village, and has been facilitating youth ministry for the past 30 years. She will reflect on our belief in the Catholic Church as recited in the Creed. Oonagh says “Life is lived forward & learned backwards. I can now look back and recognise that through experiencing my Catholic faith alive, my journey makes sense, every job I have had, every person that has come and gone, every choice I have made has been guided and influenced by the knowledge that I am loved, and that I have a purpose, a role to play & a job to do in this one Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church”. We wish her and our Parish every blessing as we continue our Novena in honour of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We encourage everybody, including those in particular need of healing to join us.
